Change in Publication Frequency of Al-Nasr Following Its Acquisition by Al-Qamar Islamic Research Institute

2026-06-29

Al-Nasr announces that, following its acquisition by Al-Qamar Islamic Research Institute (AQIRI), Lahore, Pakistan, the journal has shifted from a quarterly publication schedule to a biannual publication schedule.

Previously, Al-Nasr followed a quarterly model with four issues per year. Under the revised publication arrangement, the journal will now publish two issues per year.

The revised publication schedule will normally be:

  • January–June Issue
  • July–December Issue

This change has been made as part of the journal’s restructuring under AQIRI to strengthen editorial quality, peer-review management, manuscript selection, production standards, metadata accuracy, and publication consistency. The biannual model will allow the journal to maintain a more focused, carefully reviewed, and academically responsible publication process.

The change in frequency does not affect the journal’s commitment to open access, double-blind peer review for Research Articles, publication ethics, editorial transparency, accurate metadata, digital preservation, and responsible scholarly communication.

Authors are advised to consult the updated Aims and Scope, Author Guidelines, Submission Guidelines, Peer Review Process, and other journal policies before submitting manuscripts.
