This article explores the religious, and spiritual significances of Arbaeen in Islamic tradition within the context of the tragedy of Karbala. It examines the linguistic and conceptual meaning of Arbaeen (the fortieth day) and highlights its deep connection with the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (A.S.) and his companions. The study further discusses the identity of the first visitor (Zā’ir) of Imam Hussain’s shrine, with special focus on the renowned companion Jabir ibn Abdullah al-Ansari (R.A.), who is widely recognized as the earliest pilgrim to reach Karbala after Ashura. Moreover, the article analyzes the spiritual rewards associated with the pilgrimage of Arbaeen, drawing upon classical Islamic sources, and scholarly interpretations. It also emphasizes how Arbaeen has evolved into a symbol of faith, resistance, devotion, and remembrance in the Muslim world. The research concludes that Arbaeen is not merely a commemorative event, but a profound manifestation of Islamic values as unwavering commitment to truth.
